Hi! I'm a popular culture geek, mom to two boys, cat wrangler, and ice tea drinker. I have a BA in English Literature from Brown University and an MLIS from Dominican University in Illinois. I’m a member of the Midwest Popular Culture Association, even though I’ve lived in California longer than I lived in Illinois. My research interests have over the years run the gamut from fandom studies to the Internet, but I am currently focused on issues pertaining to DEI, race and ethnicity, and Black people in White Spaces.
